There is nothing that “needs” to be achieved. Within this life or the next.

Do not buy anything from comicsupply.com! Just found out it is a big scam company and have swindled hundreds of people by taking their money and not shipping any orders. They swindled me too. It is people like this that nearly makes me ashamed to be put in the same species category of homosapien (human). :-(
Something needs to be done!! The owner needs to be sued and fess up to everything!!

ARROGANCE DOES NOT EQUAL SURVIVAL!

I met a man who is SO full of himself that I feel both anger and pity for him. He seems to measure his self-worth by every material gain. It took everything I had to not curse at him. Still…I can’t help but wonder why he is the way he is. There could be numerous factors involved. I don’t know him that well to begin with but he did seem pretty quick to spew forth his judgments about me and other people. I suppose it would be best to think of him as an example of what not to become. I can’t imagine myself ever being as arrogant and judgemental as him. There is nothing great about constantly pursuing and feeding your own egotistical mentality. I will do my best to think good thoughts for him and others who may be trapped in the same self-serving delusion. :-)

Floating Atoms

Always remember that this “reality” we are so convinced exists is nothing more than trillions and trillions and trillions and trillions of floating atoms. It is not a hard thing to realize. It just depends on each individual’s willingness to realize.

Molecular Essence

Posted in Philosophy, Update with tags , , , , , , , on October 24, 2009 by buddhkist

I stare at the skin molecules on my arm and wonder just what is holding them together. Is it gravity? Is it some kind of weird cosmic glue? I stare up at the clouds and wonder why they exist at all. Are they really a key element in controlling the weather? No one has ever successfully touched a cloud.

Everyday I imagine our entire planet revolving around the Sun. What causes our planet to revolve with such precision? If our Universe is just a great big series of random chaos then surely our planet would have been knocked out of orbit immediately after its birth.

There really isn’t such a concept as emptiness. What we perceive as empty space/air is actually filled with an infinite amount of energy. Is it purely coincidence that this infinite energy exists at all?

I would think that if our existence is truly an accident then we would have already been witness to an infinite number of great catastrophes. Far greater than what our human brains would be able to comprehend.

The very fact that we exist at all could be evidence enough that there is much more than coincidence at work!

EARTH

To cherish what remains of the Earth and to foster its renewal is our only legitimate hope of survival. -Wendell Berry
